Perth Transport Authority (Western Australia): Technical proposal for design & life cycle costing study for establishing an optimum track structure of existing & future lines in PTA network in Perth, Western Australia. The project phase-1 included Study on global scale with optimisation of sleeper spacing with respect to the Total Cost of Ownership in addition to that Phase 2 – Specifies study which includes augmenting the performance of the track by changing properties of track materials / additions / modifications and arriving at the least Total Cost of Ownership. The project had Level 1 using discrete methods like Wrinkler / Zimmermann Theory using manual calculations & Level 2 – Study using 2D modelling with Plate / Layer based approach using STAAD Pro / MIDAS & Level 3 – Study using 3D FEM Modelling using SOLIDWORKS / ANSYS / LS-DYN
